I dont think that middle age mothers neccesarilly crave sex more but they do generally crave romance more. I found that most middle age mothers have a harder time juggling their careers and children to make time for romance.

from my experience middle aged mothers crave to be given all the love and affection that they have been missing. they have a lot of responibility and missed out on alot of romance. they want their knight.
